
The Hurdle
No one knew what the holidays would look like in 2020, due to the pandemic. With social distancing away from family and friends, I had to considered how the holidays are evolving. This is usually the time of the year when marketing speaks about togetherness.
The Run
My inspiration to create copy for Justice’s holiday catalog came from Clement Clarke Moore’s poem A Visit from St. Nicholas (better known as ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas) as well as Christmas-storytelling sentiments.
The Jump
With cozy as the main theme and a catchy cadence, I worked closely with my graphic designer to craft copy that specifically complemented the photography, storybook design, and product. I had to be mindful of how things have changed for children over the last few months. So, the editorial messaging focused on social distance-friendly activities.
